On to America

In 2017, KD made the move to America, relocating to the Chicago area. Of course, his Albanian barber license didn’t transfer to his new home, so KD had to essentially start over when he moved. He worked to get his Illinois barber license, all while working full-time and trying to build a new life. Though this could feel like a setback for many, KD has always seen it as proof of his love for what he does and made the best of it.

Once he graduated from barber school for a second time, he began working at a barber shop in Elmhurst. He worked there for about three and a half years, continuing to perfect his craft, build up clientele, and work towards his lifelong dream. Now, finally, he is opening up his American barbershop.
